Ski Touring in British Columbia
Skiing in British Columbia is just awesome.

It is so nice to ski alone and enjoy the view, but sometimes you need a friend and here I have one of my best.

I skied so many mountains in British Columbia, you can not count them on all the fingers you have. If you look for the best powder you must go to the Purcell Mountains. One of my most exiting trip was at the Boulder Hut in the Kimberly area. I spent a week with Art at the Boulder Hut. Unfortuanatly Art died a few years later in a Helicopter crash on the way to Boulder Hut. We had many nice ski trips and enjoyable evenings together.

Art with our ski group at Boulder Hut.

The last day is always the hardest day. We had to climb over 7000 ft to get into the other valley, but what a reward to ski out.
If you look for steep hills and deep gullies, the Stewart and Terrace areas have the most outrageous back country skiing available. Single or multiday - heli access or just pure leg power, it is all here. Over 6000 foot single vertical runs, and the only other people you will see are those in your party!

On the search for new gullies.

The last run of the day.
