FLY FISHING IN BRITISH COLUMBIA

British Columbia has the best places for fly fishing. In Spring to early Summer, I like the Cariboo and the Chilcotin pretty well the best. Later I prefer the high alpine lakes in the Monashee and Purcell. Summer fishing, I mostly combine with hiking.

A nice catch from a lake in the Chilcotin.

This is a picture of me on one of the hidden lakes in the

Selkirk mountains.

On a nice sunny Summer day, I carried my canoe to this isolated Lake. A beautiful spot, for solitude and listening to the wolves lullaby at night. You can watch the fish checking the fly over before they go for the kill. I do not think there is any place in this world as virgin and peaceful as this one.
